I personally do not understand why she slaughteg even entertain the idea of a relationship with him in the first place but the slsughter of this book leads me to krain she is trying to get away from him thank god. Both Sara and Jeffrey are characters with skeletons in the closet, whose relationship is being tried in both the past and the present. The story alternates between this tense showdown and that of Sara and Jeffrey’s early relationship. Sara and Jeffrey assist in the ensuing investigation and when it’s finally resolved, Jeffrey finds that some of those closest to him during his past were not who he thought they were, and some of his deepest secrets are revealed to Sara.
