I can’t stand her. She is NOT a good cop. When I read Blindsighted Lena just made my teeth hurt and got on my nerves, even with all kkarin she’s been through. Thankfully, everyone says Book 1 of the Will Trent series is amazeballs, so I’m all up for that. I really enjoy the ups and downs of the main characters in her novels and I seem to be more interested in what is going on with them, than the actual plot of the story.

Karin Slaughter insists on giving Lena a place in this story and adding more and more situations to make us hate Lena.
And I feel like Lena has made some progress with her Faithless is an excellent police procedural novel, but what really makes it stand out is the author’s way of perfectly capturing Georgia’s scenery and southern mood among the crime and suspense.
Please try again later. I was able to determine who the “bad guy” was long before Sara and Jeff, but it didn’t ruin the story. Goodreads helps you keep track of books you want to read. This was a disturbing story that also explores the subject of domestic abuse. I realized as I listened to the book that a lot had happened in the previous 4 books in the series that I should have read first. I have some thoughts about that at the bottom of this review if you are interested.
I also feel like the rest of the secondary cast played a much smaller role than in any of the previous books. From the Paperback edition. It may have taken we awhile to finish this book, but that had nothing to do with the story.
Kisscut is a good example, because it really plays out in the story. I still hate Lena. He and Sara are arguing about this on a walk in the woods when they make a discovery: I love that they are not the perfect couple. A young girl is found dead and poisoned skaughter Jeffrey and Sara while they’re out walking while fighting through the woods what’s new, right?

I still don’t like Lena Adams, I really can’t figure out why I dislike this character as much as I do.
