I love the combination of magic and romance. You’ve successfully reported this review. After Finishing Unfortunately, I was immensely disappointed with this book. AND he actually has a bookstore, with his mother, that he works in after his father passed away.
And there’s Finn, their new gardener whom she comes to appreciate…very very much. For a book about witches there was Not from the Brotherhood, the Sisterhood—not even from each other.

I didn’t even read the back of this book before I read it. The author’s style reminds me of Kristin Cashore’s — the imagery made me want to attend the tea parties and wear the dresses and hang out in the gardens.
If you want to read a story filled with magic and exciting romance, this may not be the perfect choice but, if you want to read a story containing family as one of the themes, some cute romance and an historical setting, this is it.
